Otto Addo is set to take the helm as the new manager of the Black Stars on March 15, 2024. As reported by Sport Obama TV on YouTube, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has awarded the German-based coach a long-term contract to spearhead Ghana’s upcoming football endeavors.
According to an earlier report by Nhyira FM, Addo, a German-born Ghanaian coach, emerged with the highest ranking among all the candidates interviewed for the vacant managerial position.
If confirmed, Addo will succeed Chris Hughton, with whom he closely collaborated during his initial brief tenure. Hughton initially served as a technical advisor before stepping into the head coach role post-2022 FIFA World Cup.
Addo’s inaugural challenge, should he be appointed, will be guiding the team through international friendlies against Uganda and Nigeria, scheduled to take place in Morocco in March 2024.
