The Government of Ghana and the organized labour has successfully reached an agreement to increase salaries by 30%
The 2-month labour ended today after unions demanded a 60% raise due to high inflation in Ghana
However, the question people are asking is the meaning of the 1.7% relative pay point.
The extra increase we get from our salary is 1.7%.
For example if you are on SNR SUP level I i.e. at level 15 point 1 after a year you will be level 15 point 2 the difference in money you have between point 1 and point 2 is set at 1 .7%.

Payment date for government employees
January wages for Government of Ghana workers will be paid on 24th and February wages on 24th. In addition, wages for March and April will be paid on the 28th and 25th respectively. May will be paid on the 26th and June on the 27th.
Government of Ghana employees will also receive their July and August salaries on the 27th and 25th respectively.
September is the 26th, October is also the 25th and 26th, December is the 20th.
