Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah, Chief Executive Officer of Microfinance and Small Loans Center (MASLOC) donated essential medical equipment to Yendi Hospital in the Northern Region.
The donated items included about 10 hand held patient monitors worth about $30,000 and were donated to the newly built Yendi Municipal Hospital Alicia Rain Bishop Emergency Center.
Alicia Reine Bishop Emergency Center, is 28-bed capacity building with two critical isolation rooms, began operations on February 25, 2021, and its capacity draws a large number of patients across the country.

interacting with the media, Mrs. Zakaria made it clear that her goal in supporting the hospital is her love to humanitarian service by giving back to people and society at large.
She continued that it is important to give back to Yendi City Hospital as it is where she was born. However, Mrs. Zakaria acknowledged Mission 318’s excellent work and pledged them her commitment and further donations in the near future.

On behalf of the hospital administration, the medical superintendent, Dr. Abdullai Ayuba, received the medical equipment and thank the MASLOC boss for her kind gesture.
He reiterated his commitment to ensuring that equipment will be put in good use and to have a proper maintenance culture to extend the life of the equipment. He encouraged others to imitate the CEO to help the hospital achieve its aim of quality health care delivery.
