The students of Tamale Islamic science senior high school which is situated in the sagnerigu municipality of the northern region have been squatting while having dinner due to the dilapidated state of the dining hall structure.
According to the report of citinewsroom.com, due to the lack of doors and windows of the dinning hall, sometimes occupied by some animals.
Beside the lack of a dinning hall, lack of accommodation has also become a source of worry to the students as they are forced to sleep in congested and bedbug infected dormitories.
These challenges according to the students are affecting their studies and they are therefore appealing to the government and other stake experts to come to their aid as the school has not had a face-lift for the past twenty five years since it was established.
The report gathered is that the dormitory block which was normally designed to accommodate 240 students are now housing over 1,000 students while the population of the school keeps growing with a current population of 3,000.
