Ghanaian Businessman Yakubu Mashud widely known as Abiola has been realized with a lucrative citation in Wurikpamo, a suburb of Yendi for unwavering support to the town.

Warikpamo is a new town previously without essential social amenities. Abiola resides in Accra but travels home very often recently built and moved into the Warikpamo area without a second thought despite no electricity, good water and more.
Abiola upon getting into the town, he was struck by the lack of electricity and the challenging access to clean water in the area.
Instead of turning a blind eye to the predicament, he decided to take action while using his personal funds.
The businessman initiated the connection of the area to the national grid with water also being a scarce commodity.
He drilled boreholes which residents currently use for construction and household use and intervention has impacted positively on the people who hitherto were sleeping in darkness with women also traveling far distances in search of water.
To be moved by his exemplary gesture, the highly most respected chief Warikpamo, Fuseini Alidu presented a citation to him to acknowledge his invaluable contributions to the well-being of the people.
The Chief commended Mashud, saying his gesture has brought relief to the community. The honorarium was done for his exceptional service to humanity and recognition comes in response to Mr. Mashud’s unwavering dedication to improving the lives of residents of Warikpamo on October 2023.
